I can't move my variables files. Please help.

I have my ubb up and running. Now I want to move my variables folder, as I do not want write permission on my cgi-bin folder.

I copied all the vars_* to another folder, writable, but not web accessible. Then I tried to update the location in 'Absolute Path: Variable Files Directory' on the Primary Settings/Configuration Settings.

When I 'Update Configuration Settings' I get this error: "Error including required files: Make sure these files exist, permissions are set properly, and paths are set correctly. "

This is more an installation issue, so please direct followups to the appropriate forum.

You need to alter the require statement in ultimatebb.cgi and cp.cgi for vars_config.cgi to include the absolute path. The other variables should pick up the location from your CP setting.
