I am trying to figure out how to get some new graemlins for my site's forum.
From my control panel, I go to "Custom Graemlin Settings", then I go to "To add a new Graemlin, click here" - once I get there, I don't understand this: Please make sure that the image you wish to add has been uploaded to your /noncgi/graemlins directory, in binary mode.

What do I do in simple terms to upload them to my site?

You will need to upload them to your site using FTP (or by another means you have at your disposal to place files in your web space). The custom graemlins belong in your the graemlins subdirectory of your UBB non cgi directory.
