Dear,

Currently we are running the UBB.Classic 6.3.1 release.

On the board different members have moderator status and can read all the topics
on the "Only open to moderators" forums.

Currently we have the idea that sone none-moderators get also rights for rea-
ding those stuff.

Our question: can we bestow moderator status to those certain (what I will call)
"key members" of the board. So they can participate in discussion etc, but not
actually be a moderator of a forum.

You can manually grand permission to members to be able to post in a private forum on their member record. There should be a checkbox for that on your version.
