maybe I've just missed it, but the member search features often leave me wanting a bit more. Today, for instance, I had one phony register 11 times. I'd love to be able to search by IP addresses. Possible?

(Also, sometimes I get an email from someone who literally remembers nothing, registered a year ago. Is there a way to search if you don't know the member number, login name or registered email address? For instance, I get an email from someone sure they used some variant of their name, but not sure exactly what...)

You can search by both registration IP and last post IP as of 6.2 (via extended/advanced search), and do quicksearches for login names, email addresses, AND public names as of 6.4. Previous versions only featured quicksearches for login names and emails.

You're currently using 6.3.1.1 (and REALLY should consider turning the Recent Visitors logging time down to something more reasonable, liek 15 minutes <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> )

Thanks. I struggle sometimes to keep up with all the new features. I am sitting here not quite believing I was stupid enough to miss this long hoped for option. :rolleyes:

As for the rV--and we've topped out at over 330!--I confess I love the busy, active look it gives. So far it seems to be causing no problems, the BB works well. We've also tripled the registration base in the last 9 months, however, and if it continues to grow like that I suppose I may have no choice. If we are not the #1 BB of its kind on the 'net, we're certainly on the short list and still growing quickly.

What advantages will I see if I suddenly cut it way back?

You'll see zippier performance, mainly - keeping such a huge list is really a killer.
