Sometimes we get some really good threads going, and I'd like them to show up for more than a day in the active listing.

How about a way to add a time-variable that will allow a topic to remain listed on the ACTIVE list if it has had more than 2 or 3 postings to it within the past 24 hours?

Otherwise at midnight we lose the complete list and sometimes I don't get logged in until after that.
