I'd like to add a link to our photo gallery and other links also, i would like the wholepage to change over, not a new window to open,

any ideas on how this can be done or is this kind of topic not allowed here?

public_common.pl, around line 1250 in sub MainButtonOptions

########
# TO ADD MORE ITEMS TO THIS LINE:
# Clone an item beginning with push as above
# Items added in this manner will be added to the END of the line

Keep in mind, this is from the 6.5 templates, and may be different in custom template sets, or old versions

Thanks. I did that. I was also NOW wondering, how can I break it to the next line. I added a bunch of links and the menu is way too long.

Hey...I saw this and gave it a try. I figured out how to add a new link...but I can't figure out how to change the displayed text?

If I'm adding a link like "dctalksolo Home" how do I get it to actually say "dctalksolo Home?" I have the link working.

You should just edit the text directly in the template, as described by Ron M. I believe it's fairly plain HTML there.

Thanks for the response...but this is not "simple HTML."

Here is the line...and it's not all showing up correctly do to friendly smilie code:

# Forum Home
push(@items, qq(<a href="$ULTIMATEBB" title="$vars_wordlets{forum_acronym}">$vars_wordlets{forum_home_link}</a>));

And here's the line I copied/added:

# dctalksolo Home
push(@items, qq(<a href="http://www.dctalksolo.com" title="$vars_wordlets{forum_acronym}">$vars_wordlets{forum_home_link}</a>));

I tried a number of things, and got errors all over the place. I have the link working, now I need to change "Forum Home" to "dctalksolo Home."

Any help?

Change title="$vars_wordlets{forum_acronym}" in your own code to title="dctalksolo Home".

Thanks for the additional help...but it's still not working.

I did exactly what you said...and I'm not seeing any errors, but it still says "Forum Home" and not "dctalksolo Home."

Here is my line of code...

# dctalksolo Home
push(@items, qq(<a href="http://www.dctalksolo.com" title="dctalksolo Home">$vars_wordlets{forum_home_link}</a>));

Young Tae Byun, add a <br> where you want a break.

mcneesek, create a test login if you want me to check. Or better yet, just clear your cache and check again.

I think if you just replace the $vars_wordlets{forum_home_link} with dctalksolo Home as shown below, you will be all set.

<pre># dctalksolo Home

push(@items, qq(<a href="http://www.dctalksolo.com" title="dctalksolo Home">dctalksolo Home</a>)); </pre>

Try putting <br> right after the </a> of of the link where you want to have a break.
