What happens when you 'hide' a forum? Is it avail. onlyl to those who know the URL, or can it be made avail. to a designated group?
And once you have a group, what can you do? Give the group access to some forums but not others?
I don't mind reading up on this on my own. The manual tells you want to do, but not really what you can do!

It'd be "hidden" to everyone's browsing from the main page, they'd have to have a direct link to the forum to enter it.
Your best bet would probably be to set it to private and assign who is able to view it through each users profile.

Re: hide a forum. THanks.
Curious about Groups: Once you have a group, what can you do? Give the group access to some forums but not others?
Also, am i missing overview documentation on the UBB site on all this?

Classic does not have groups, other than Member, Junior Member, Underage, Moderator and Administrator. The new software will have everything you just asked for in this topic
