if i do get my ubb working and lets say i have 1000 members that actively post(about once a day)....how much space TOTAL willl the ubb take up?

Its really hard to guess. The board itself uses about 3MB of space without any posts or members. An average thread may be around 35KB (3 replies approx.). Each member file is around 1KB, so 1000 members would be around 1MB of space.

There is no way to tell you how much TOTAL the UBB will take up as with each post and added member the amount of space taken up changes. The general MINIMUM of required space is 20MB. If your board really does do the activity you're stating above you'll bust that limit unless you prune regularly.

The above sizes are quoted on a stock-UBB. Hacks may add to the size issue.
