I'm probably doing the wrong thing, but I noticed that if you drop any .gif file into the icons directory, it will show up in the pick list when posting. So, I have added a bunch of icons, with various file names.

The problem is, the posting always seems to defailt to icon1.gif, regardless of which new icon was actually selected. The "canned" icons work as expected. Is there a naming convention I have to follow, or do only the original icon1..14.gif work?

NOTE: I've figured out that some filenames aren't liked. If you use iconXX.gif, that's OK, but things like - may cause the icon to be ignored.

Sounds like you've already figured it out. For the icons to be used properly all the file names in the icons directory must be named iconxx.gif (where xx is a sequential number).
