i have noticed this nice feature on some sites and i wondered if it was posible to have it on my ubb, tis the season and all =]

Could you provide more information on what you mean (a URL perhaps?)

It isn't just an animated GIF background is it?

If you just want to use the gif, you want

Code
background="snow.gif"
in your page's body tag (assuming snow.gif is in the same folder as the page). Alternatively, to use it on the UBB, go into style settings and set snow.gif as the background image (it must be located in your NonCGI folder).
