UBB 5.47e, RedHat
peds-cme.med.usf.edu/hiv/

I have set all forums private to only allow registered users to view/post messages. The people who will be approving the new members are not terribly computer savvy and I would like it to be as easy as possible. Ideally instead of having to log in, approve the new member, and check the boxes to grant access, only the approval would be needed and access would be given by default.

Is there a way to do this?

If you only wanted them to get access when they were approved, it would require a bit more of a sophisticated hack.

If you wanted them to get read access to the private forums immediately, and only posting privs when they were approved, you can simply code in the permissions into ubbmisc.cgi but again, a hack is required.
