how i can make a forum with a password?

in Vers 5.x it works...

so the only way i have found is to give
the PW in the var_forums.cgi but is there a
other way for German version too (hack or so..) ?

Look in the forum setup for the forum you want password protected. Then look for the section with drop menus to set permissions on posting etc.. Then to the left you'll see a box for a password. Above the drop menu's you'll see a checkbox to make that forum private.

nope there is nothing... i have heard in the
german version its not include..but i think there must be a way to take the code into the german version too.

hmm i take a look into engl version maybe i found then the code

Hmm, quite bizarre..

I just downloaded the 6.04c German version and compared it to the English version. Apparently Templates/cp_edit_forum.pl does not have the forum_pw code in it, even though the English one does. If you upload cp_edit_forum.pl from the English version temporarily, it should give you access to that field. (The backend code is all there).

CC/Dave/Stefan: why is this missing?

I don't know why it is missing but it will be fixed when we release the German 6.04d
