Could this image processing also be used to resize attachments in posts? or is that being done now?
I believe there is a resize option with GD2 and ImageMagick, but that's kind of out of scope for this thread

interesting - of course they could probably still be read in the same was as captchas can be read unless obscured.
but obscurifing is fun! Plus you could have an editor add in "[nospam]" to replace @ and . in the image; or [at] and [dot]
