The importer is using a few $ubbt_lang values to convert the markup. I'm not absolutely sure, but it looks like the language file is never included by the importer (normally done in ubbthreads.php, which is not used to call the importer). So all those markup converting fails.

example:
<font color=green>/images/icons/cool.gif<!--color--></font>
becomes:
[]/images/icons/cool.gif[/]

The example is a little mixed up, err.

example:
<font color=green>TEXT<!--color--></font>
becomes:
[]TEXT[/]

or:
<img src="/images/icons/cool.gif" />
becomes:
[]/images/icons/cool.gif[/]

If I remember correctly...

We've actually went away from language strings for the markup tags, but the importer was still looking for the language strings. This has been fixed and the importers in the members area have been updated.
