I believe there's a bit of caching going on. On my 7.0 it does the same thing, and updates once a reply is made to the post -- as long as someone doesn't reply to a reply with the old subject. Is that the case?

Once a post is made in any forum the indicator should update.

The indicators work fine - I think he's talking about the subject (text) itself

What I love is when someone voices an opinion a topic, then creates 5 more accounts to support their side... Though my users are slightly more inclined to not get caught with this method by using proxy servers to register, but a lot of the time you can tell fairly easy

I used to use the hack that would put an extra cookie on the users PC - when the person logged in with a second account it would email details of both accounts to an admin - so it was easy to see who had multiple accounts.

Some emails would come through with 4 or 5 accounts on them.

Sounds interesting, but it could be annouing for multiple account holders that are completely legit (wife/husband, children, siblings, etc)

True - but as it only an automated email to the admin it wasn't a big deal

I'd love to see something like that made available

i'd rather see it logged to a file vs emailed, but sounds good none the less hehe

email is good - a file means you have to visit to check it - I always had mine delivered to a folder in Outlook - that way I could easily do a search on a display name as it was included.

If this ever made it as a feature or a mod, i'd also like to see a way to "filter" certain users; so that say... i know user 1 and 50 and 90 are all roomates, and use the same networked connection,so i don't need to know about them, so i can just block them from being flagged...

Also, I like the log idea, since you could get bombarded with emails if you have a popular place lots of people go to

They would not be flagged anyway - unless they used the same computer. It was computer based and not IP or connection based.

lol, my wife isn't allowed to touch my laptop... in fact when my mom was here last night i snapped at her when she asked if she could use my laptop lol... although i (and my family when they're here) use my "wife's computer" (i use the term here lightly, since i paid for everything in the computer)

Despite all of the spam in this topic, I was able to decipher the original bug report and get it fixed for 7.1.1.
