Yes mate. I've only been to Lappish Finland once, but was lucky enough to have a stupendous display.

It was AMAZING, a free 'trip' in fact.

This year i seen the best of them all ever
and for ages stretching the sky.

Check the link in the first post for the extreme examples
there not as vivid as the images you see in the info.

But stunning none the less.

They are stunning - but time lapse none the less.
You cannot beat the real thing.

You're really lucky to spend more time there.
Are you one of the elves? wink

ha ha noooo
I work in the ice castle as a guide at Christmas time.

Why?
it pays towards my air fair 440 (now)
and because its only the visitors that speak english
i can enjoy Christmas banter wink

The in laws all speak Finnish and after 15 years
i still cant understand them lol

But they have the internet at home so i'm happy lol.

Makes you feel like a kid again wink

Shame on you ?

The Finnish language has to be in the top 5 of
Languages that are impossible to learn lol

Hello = Hey
Bye = Hey

I'm just lost, with it all my brain cant take it in lol

But ive mastered the swear words if that counts lol

Try a 'tonal' language....

Thai (5 tones) High/ Rising/ Mid/ Falling / Low

Just one example..

Mai

= new
= wood
= to burn
= good
= a question

There is a tonal tongue twister, which after all these years I still can't get right.

It's : mai mai mai mai mai (!?!)
...and it roughly means...

"New wood burns well, doesn't it?"
(new wood burn good, yes?)
