My latest toy
Since we are going to be living full time in our motor home, I was looking for something better than my 2" SW 38special for 'home protection'. While at Gander Mountain I found this. Oh, and in case you're wondering, the barrel is 20".

I've been wanting one of those. Must be a Stoeger?

$374 plus tax. And Harold, is it a Stoeger. Chambered for 3" shells so you know with the light weight the thing is going to be a kicker. But, for the confines of our motor home it's the perfect length.

Since my wife isn't interested in fooling with a 45, I tried to talk her into a little 22 pistol last spring in Fort Wayne. We ended up going out the door with a 204 instead for not much more than what you spent.

I looked at several rifles and shotguns, from the double barrel, to pumps to autoloaders and for what I need, this was the best choice. If my wife isn't comfortable with that, she has the option of the .38 SW. Oh, the other thing was, nothing says LEAVE better than a shotgun. For some reason people, ie punks, are more afraid of that than anything else. Just something I picked up after 22 years in law enforcement.

I've read that you want to open up your double and clean out the packing grease. More of an issue with the single trigger, but it still can't hurt.

Yes, there's not much in there from what I've seen, but I still need to get a cleaning kit and give it the once over.

I don't know where my comment should go so I took the first thread I saw to say that I like how UBB.threads can make a Photo Gallery and make it look like threads. I wonder if they can do that on vBulletin... ?
