Burroughs Integrated Circuit Paperweight, Vintage Computer Chip, Very Rare
Price: US $229.00
Up for sale is an extremely rare piece of early computer history and technology. Its an amazing lucite paperweight featuring an unfinished integrated circuit in DIP packaging from Burroughs. It has a glass magnifier on top so one can view the exposed silicon die and wire bonding. The magnifier works really well and the tiny chip is clear and sharp when viewed. Much better than the pictures posted here.
The first computers to use Integrated circuits were the Burroughs B2500 and B3500 introduced back in 1968.
This vintage computer chip collectible paperweight was probably given to special Burroughs company executives as a gift at some time in history. It measures approximately 2 inches in diameter and 1-1/2 inches tall. It is absolutely mint condition with no signs of wear or handling.
This would make a unique gift for anyone into collecting vintage computer memorabilia, computer chip collectibles or jewelry.
