HP MediaSmart Server EX470 - Processor / Ram Upgrade Done - Works Well
I bought this in 2010 when it came out, and I have honestly not had it online in about 2 years, it was in a closet.I just booted it to make sure it worked, and am now listing it.
This will ship with no hard drives in it. It currently has 4, but they will be removed.
I did a processor upgrade on this. It was purchased from Tiger Direct a while back, I upgraded with aADH1640DHBOX processor. At the time, and I think still, this was the largest processor that would run in the 470.So this is a 2.60Ghz processor with 1Mb Cache. It is single core.
I also had done a memory upgrade on this. It came with 512Mb. This was upgraded to 2Gb.
I never had any issues with this... but it hasn\'t run in a while. Honestly I\'d take it apart, get some canned air and assure everything in it is cleaned out.. these tend to get dusty over time.
