Listing is for a very nice (and rarely seen reference number) vintage Heuer 1000 844-2 automatic dive watch. This reference is quite rare and they don’t come up for sale often.

This example is issue free and is water tight. You will be hard pressed to find another with such an immaculate dial and hands. Simply stunning condition, enough said!

The case was fully disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, reassembled with all new gaskets and a sapphire crystal. Most examples on or elsewhere have been sitting in a drawer for the past 20 years with issues which either can’t be cheaply or easily corrected.

•It has a new sapphire crystal. The original crystal was a mineral crystal (which is included) and they are all too commonly scratched. The sapphire is practically scratch proof and is quite a substantial upgrade. These sapphires are custom made and this is a feature found on most high end brands such as Omega, Tag Heuer, etc.

•The dial is in perfect condition with a creamy patina on the all original lumed indices and hands.


•This watch features the original screw down crown which has a new crown gasket.

•The bezel insert is original and in excellent condition for its age. One of our Tag1000Diver custom bezel inserts is included as well should you ever need to replace it.

•ALL gaskets (crystal, caseback, and crown) have been replaced as well and it has been pressure tested. Ready for the pool! All replaced parts are included for your service records.

•The automatic movement is very clean and in good running condition. This watch features the original 17 jewel ETA 2872 automatic movement complete with the decorated and Heuer signed rotor. Movement service history unknown.

•The bracelet is a the original Heuer signed jubilee bracelet w/dive extension and fits approx a 7.75\" wrist.

•Also included are a new leather rally strap and a silicone Tropic style strap.
