Vintage 1960’s IBM 2260 data terminal, rare survivor.

From the storage of a closed electronic repair/retail store, that had been open since the 1920’s.

Very, very rare to find. Cosmetically, I believe this to be missing it’s front plastic bezel. Has been in storage for a long time, but wiped clean on the outside with little effort. Several of the keys are stuck. The side mounted power button and dial pulls in and out easily. I pulled the bottom panel off, and I don’t see any evidence of corrosion. Wires have factory numbering still attached, as pictured. Condition of vertical scan CRT is unknown, as this is as far as I will disassemble this. I have been told this has a very unique “card punch” style keyboard mechanism. Completely untested and sold as is. I have not and will not power this on, as I do not want to damage this before someone with the expertise has a chance to go through it. It is just too scarce of an item.

I will answer any questions to the best of my ability. If you have more information about this that you believe I should add to the listing, by all means contact me.

This will be packaged well to survive the journey. I have shipped several large, heavy terminals recently with no complaints. Offers will be responded to as soon as I see them.
