I had an opportunity to learn to set up and operate this product yesterday. It is amazing. Nothing could be easier. Plug machine into computer and follow instructions on screen and with one push of a button your slides are digitized and the “print” is visible on your screen. You can then manipulate your image as you wish as to brightness, contrast and hue. You may enlarge it for pleasant viewing and or print it out to share with others. I have not processed from 35 mm negatives so I can’t comment on that result, only transparencies. Amazing little machine at at very amazing price.

Initial image quality was pretty bad. I had to disassemble the scanner and adjust the focus, which resulted in a pretty good image. I'd read some bad reviews which seemed to be centered around this problem, so this appears to be a quality control problem. The negative holder was frustratingly difficult to pop open. Filing down the catch tabs took care of that problem.

I did try to set this up on Windows 10 but I was unsuccessful. However, I was able to set this scanner up on a Windows 7 Home computer and was very successful. I scan very well and the accuracy of the scans are excellent. If a slide has faded in colors the software gives the option of a black and white scan. The level of detail in black & white from a faded color slide is great. It is easy to use and will scan your slides in without a problem. I would recommend this scanner.
