Installed on a Dell PowerEdge 840 running 6GB memory and Core2 Quad processor. Backups a breeze but restores made element by element. the old 32 bit WHS could restore from a boot disc even to a blank hard drive. It didn't have to be to the same computer. The data is distributed among installed hard drives but the duplication function is missing so it is necessary to back up the server in order to protect data. As a result, I back up the PowerEdge 840 to a 600sc server. Mighty inconvenient. I miss that folder duplication feature. All in all, if you don't have a server to back up your server, this product is not for you.
This is a very reasonably prices Server OS that offers the average user a great backup and file sharing solution. I have build several servers for others using this software with Stablebit Drive Pool and together you can use the larger 3 or 4 TB Hard Drives. I have build small and large servers to run WHS2011 and its been rock solid. Even if you use it just to backup your computers it will save you when the time comes when you need to perform a computer recovery because it will achieve this on average in about 1 hour longer if you have multiple drives to recover. You can always acquire this software at or below $50 so its very reasonable.
This is still a great backup product even with it's limitations. It's not produced or marketed anymore. I was happy to find it offered. The did a great job at delivery too
