This is my second QNAP NAS as I was pleased with the first unit (TS-453 Pro). The TS-453Be is not as well built as the Pro (more plastic in the Be) but functions just as well. I removed the existing drives from the Pro (drive bay mounts don't swap so one has to unscrew the drives and re-install in the Be model) and installed in the Be and the system booted up with no problems whatsoever. I really like that! I highly recommend these brand NAS unit.

My answers of yes are because I am familiar with and own several QNAP NAS servers. If I was a beginner I would be hard pressed to set it up. It comes with very little documentation, however there is much setup information on QNAP's website. The description of 24tb's is a bit misleading and only true if you use the server as a mirror. In RAID 5 configuration it is only about 16tb. The WD Red drives have been very good for me. I usually get about 6 years service out of them in continuous duty. The QNAP products have proved to be very reliable for me. The product is easy to setup in a Windows network.
