The hard drives that I ordered were delivered in what appear to be factory sealed boxes (as described). I have not opened the boxes yet but expect them to be new. They also arrived on time. Just pay attention to shipping time to your location, since if you have a failed hard drive in your home lab or SMB you might need them quicker. I really appreciate this sellers accurate description and if I need any more drives I would definitely purchase from them again.

Good seller, sent by error a different item but was happy to fix the issue and work out a solution for both of us, errors happen so in my books they're a good seller with good prices for their items

  • Say no to sata drives!

I still like to use my legacy pc even though I have a current and faster pc to use. I had put it up in storage until I heard of Clover bootloader. I got it to work, but I had to take an extra step choosing the bootdrive in EFI mode. Using the Oracle card slows down the boot process, but I can walk away during the boot process and am not concerned with the extra boot time. The extra speed using the F40 and a pcie ssd storage drive make a substantial performance boost.

  • Not my best purchase ever

Two of the drives died on one (it's 4x100gb drives basically stacked on the card - I got two of the cards as well), the other is good and all, but they cause HP servers to max out fan speed which is kinda weak, basically just disappointing in general. And they have their own BIOS that takes like 15 minutes to boot into BEFORE the actual computer's... Making reboots painful to say the least. Super janky solution that _techincally_ works if you know what you're doing but not for the weak hearted lol

  • Great Card - Solved a problem for me...

Previous review mentions issues with slow BIOS and high fan speed in HP machine. I had neither of these issues. I was installing CentOS on an old HP DL380 G5 only to find out the P400 was not supported. Dropped this card in and it worked perfectly first time. BIOS was quick and a normal LSI Logic setup. The server did not run fans faster than normal. The card did get warm - about 55C according to the software so running it in a desktop might require extra cooling. Driver support out of the box and booted fine. If you search online you can find the latest firmware and tools. Easy to use and the online flash update was quick and without issue. Will buy a couple more when funds allow...
