I recently decided to take the plunge into the flat screen world -- if for no other reason, to save space on my office desk. I shopped around and settled on the Gateway FPD1775W. I am very pleased with my purchase. I was able to get it for an incredible deal (all other things being equal) as I paid about $110 with shipping. For that price, I HAVE EXACTLY NO COMPLAINTS about the monitor. On the other hand, had I paid any more for it -- I would have only one -- I wish it were just slightly larger. Running it at the recommended resolution of 1280x720, everything that I can't adjust (i.e the menu bar at the top of my Mac desktop) just seems . . . I don't know . . . a little to "fluffy," "happy," and "round." But like they say "If that's all I can complain about, then I must be happy." The Best thing about finally going "wide" is that I can have multiple programs and windows open at the same time right next to each other. That just saves me (as a Mac user) the step of flipping back and forth between my expose spaces so frequently. All around: ***** for value buying. If you can find one for about $150 or so -- GET IT QUICK! ***** for color, resolution, and crispness. ***** for ease of set-up, everyday use, and in monitor menu options. **** for size (when it comes to monitors size really IS everything). If I could do one thing to improve my situation it would be to offer myself the ability to choose a resolution of 1600x900. But evidently that is unavailable on my system . . . who knows, maybe I'm just being picky. Final word. If you're looking for a great monitor for the home office or kids' room on the cheap -- this may just be the one for you!! If you plan on doing any serious graphics design, video editing, etc -- nothing less than 22" @ 1080p is my recommendation.Read full review
The reason I bought this monitor from EBay is because I have one EXACTLY like it that i bought three years ago at Best Buy. The amazing thing about my monitor is that it rode around behind the seat of my truck for almost a year when I was working a blue collar job. That was about a year ago, and I've been using mine every since on my desk at my office job. Now, it's time to upgrade to a dual monitor desktop and I wanted matching monitors, thus why I bought this particular one. I don't do graphics or fancy photo editing, I'm a logistics guy. I do spreadsheets, emails, and finances. So, I can't attest to the graphic ability of this monitor but it does YouTube and Picasa just fine. If you just need a robust, stout, reliable monitor, grab this one. It won't disappoint.
The product met my expectations.

The monitor has a good crisp picture when formatted at 1280x720 resolution. Plug in play, easy setup. Good all around monitor at an affordable price.
This monitor was a great Father's Day gift for my hubby. He hooked it up to his laptop for using at home because his display is only 14". Worked out great, perfect clarity, thin and only uses a small footprint on his desk. I am very happy with the deal we got!
