A Christopher Dresser style heavy gauge, 3 pint brass kettle on stand with the Victorian diamond registration mark for 1883. A very well crafted piece with ebonised wooden handles and knob. The underside of the lid is marked \'Best London Made\' and has an insulated layer beneath the knob which is attractively pierced. Around the outer edge of the tinned lid is the number 360, 3 pints and GL or GP. The kettle has a beaten concave bottom for maximum heat absorption from the burner.(which is missing The kettle fits well on the stand and although the stand has no makers mark , it is the same gauge as the kettle handles and is probably the original. The condition is good, there is a dint on the upper side, please view photographs.The spout also has a few small dints and the lip of the spout is \"pushed in\'. The kettle displays very well and the damage is pretty minor.The kettle with stand is 11\" high, The kettle on its own stands 7 1/4\".
