You´re offerding on aVINTAGE 1960\'s MR. HUSTLER ASTRONAUT ROBOT TIN BATTERY OPERATED TOY SH HORIKAWA JAPAN. This robot was made at the late 60\'s by Horikawa SH trademark at Japan. It´s all made of tin and its feet are from a red plastic material.The robot shows some signs of wear, it has some scratches and paint chips. It has a scratch on the top of his head, and on all of its edges. The tin on its feet show paint chips and scratches on its rim. The orange plastic at the front has some air bubbles inside but no cracks. It also has a stress line that looks like a crack, but it doesn´t feel like a crack onde of the astronauts transparent front helmet. It shows some rust spots on its metal areas. The battery box is clean and free of rust, but it has been glued and it has a crack on its upper part, the right side contact where the battery contacts the battery cell is loose because of the crack, due to this the robot is a little temperamental, and you have to give him a shake if he doesn´t works, or with a screw move the battery contact to make contact with the cell. Is on working condition, but as I just explained, the upper right battery contact sometimes doesn´t makes proper contact with the battery, so if you shake it, or correct the position of the brass contact it will start working. When you insert the two \"D\" cell batteries into the battery compartment and move the switch to the on position the robot will start walking as he moves his arms in and out, as his chest lights up. He measures 11 1/2\" tall approx.It has been with me for 25 years, my husband bought it at la \"LAGUNILLA\" a mexican flea market where you can find a lot of collectibles and antiques.
