Another from my retirement dispersal sale ~^~Here\'s a maker marked 15 1/2\" saddle from back in the 1970s,
made by BIGHORN of Chattanooga, Tenn. Marked by the figure-8 pattern on both fenders and numbered 405 behind cantle, also has small flower stamp on horn cap. This good rig was traded to me some time ago due to the fleece issue, it came in just as you see it. I intended to re-fleece it ~ but age and infirmity have got in the way ~ so I\'ll offer it for sale as you see it..This saddle is still solid as a rock; tree is guaranteed sound, horn and cap are tight, there is no loose stitching, seat surface has no holes and is clean.
All rigging is secure and uses big stout cast rings.
Has a good pair of metal banded stirrups on serviceable leathers with rust-free adjustment buckles.**Wool fleece is shot** the wool is gone off the skin, left in tufts and bunches...
but all the leather is serviceable with no cracks or age checking.The only negative is the lack of fleece. This should be re-fleeced and ridden for another generation!

Or you can do what the last owner did, he left it alone and used it as- is with a thick pad ~ for awhile. (Please don\'t ~ this deserves restoration)So .. here it is at sale because I have neither time, space or ability to fix it and it should not be wasted.
