These are old handmade stamping tools, so they have some discoloration, though most of the stamping faces look clean & crisp. There are a couple that have some wear on the stamping area. They are all different patterns, some sun rays, tipis, etc. Use the zoom to see them close up. They are 2 1/8\" to 3 1/4\" long. Before you could buy silver stamping tools, the Native Americans were very resourceful & made their tools from all kinds of found objects. They used rebar, old files, rasps, Railroad spikes, & valve stems to make their own one-of-a kind silver stamps. Being great craftsmen, they were able to hand cut & file the patterns onto the face of the shaft. Looking at these stamps it\'s hard to imagine doing it on such a small scale. It\'s one thing to be a great silversmith, but it adds a wholedifferentlevel of skill when you are also making your own stamping tools!
