This coin contains just under 1/10 troy ounce of gold. Imagine this, America as we know it was just being formed when this was minted. Very cool little coin with lots of history. It does have a hole in it. When freshly minted, the weight should have been 3.38 grams. On the scale a used to verify this coin's weight, I got 3.3 grams, which is well within the expected range when you consider the small hole and wear. Good luck offerding!
