Truely a dazzling piece of Belle Epoque confection! Labelled Mme Bugbee, NYC. and dating to the late 19thc. Gorgeous full length one piece ballgown, with a stunning assortment of sequins on bodice and skirt. All atop a black silk with layers of silk at the hem. Bodice with stays and the label printed on petersham. In as found condition will need conservation! tear of the net that the sequins are attached to on one side of skirt, that I have pinned , and the lower flounce of the sequins are coming off of the main skirt, this will need to be reattached, some holes to the net mostly at the hem along with missing scattered sequins, underarm breaks. As found !
