Beautiful antique Victorian spill vase in the form of a bamboo stem and leaves marked for Royal Worcester and date coded for the year 1891.

Top quality cream colored porcelain, modeled in the form of a bamboo stump in blush ivory with a spray of clasping bamboo foliage in raised relief. Rooted and rocaille base gilded in gold enamel. Rim also gilded. English Aesthetic Movement at its peak, with charming influences ofjaponisme.

Maker\'s mark:Marked with the crowned circle and four Ws and Royal Worcester England and the shape number 1049.

Date:1891. This was a Royal Worcestermark used only in 1891 after which dots were included in the mark as year ciphers.

Condition:Good. No wear to the gold rim. No chips, cracks, crazing, hairlines or repairs. One small rough spot on rim.

Size:Vase is 5 inches (12.5 cm) tall.
