You are offerding on a BEAUTIFUL AND EXTREMELY RARE NORTHERN SAN DIEGO COUNTY TOWNold "good for" trade token once used to get "GOOD FOR 5C IN TRADE" at abusiness called "F.S. SANDFORD" once located in tiny unincorporated site of WARNER SPRINGS, CALIFORNIA.

This is about an impossible "town" to find exonumia from….VERY RARE LOCALE…NOTE TOKEN SAYS "WARNERS SPRINGS" instead of "WARNER" (possible die error, or accepted spelling back in 1900 era)

The historic site of "Warner Springs" (Warner Springs Ranch) goes back to a Mexican Land Grant back in 1844, but there was a hot springs village at site going way back to 1795. Warner Springs is an unincorporated region today, located near Mount Palomar…located on highway 79, east of Pala & Fallbrook…due north of Julian California. THIS IS A RARE TOWN.

If you look in the old 1976 California token book (Kappen) this is the only token is listed under the town of WARNER SPRINGS as catalog K-1. FOR SOMEONE WHO COLLECTS SAN DIEGO COUNTY…….THIS IS ABOUT AS RARE AS IT GETS

Trade token is brass metal, round, about 21mm in diameter, and it displays nicely.(please see pictures in gallery) Token looks very decent in person, a great token from a historic town.

While many old California tokens are in "dug" condition... this is a very decent old token.
