Up for offerding is a so-called dollar or commemorative medal from the 1904 Louisiana Purchase Exposition held in St Louis, Missouri.Description: The piece is made from yellow bronze, and measures approximately 34mm in diameter. It corresponds with Hibler-Kappen listing HK-302 (yellow bronze variety of the official medal).
Note the lack of a star on the map on the reverse where St. Louis is -- this variety is considerably less common.It has been graded at MS61 and encapsulated by NGC. NGC\'s Coin Census does not distinguish between \"no star\" and \"star\" varieties.Condition: Dark tan-brown patina.
