This sale is for a beautiful pink Treo brand corset girdle from the late 1910s-20s. (It is stamped inside “est. June 24, 1914) It is so pretty it was a shame to hide it under a dress. It came from the same estate as the ivory silk satin bust cover we are offering in another sale that appears to date from the same era. (They would ship together for the same price as the corset alone.)
The upper portions of the two sides of the satin covered front panel have three bones (including the busk) on each side, with sturdy hooks and eyes below. There are long flexible bones at each side and two more either side of the center back for support and stability. The body is made of wide bands of elastic (with minimal stretch) sewn together and covered with rows of wide, gathered pink satin ribbons, with one band of elastic exposed at the waist, showing off two rows of satin stitches for added decorative texture.
The four textile covered garters are on wide adjustable elastic bands with scrolling silvery buckles stamped with “Treo”.
