This sale is for a 1952 tin litho wind up and battery operated toy police car, marked: MARXTOYS - MADE IN UNITED STATES OF AMERICA - DICK TRACY - POLICE DEPT. SQUAD CAR NO.1 - LM 52 - This classic and famous character toy car has a good working wind up motor mechanism that emits a siren like sound when running. The battery operated partis for the spotlight on top and I did not have a bulb to test it. The front right wheel can be adjusted to make the car roll straight or on a left turning arc. It has an on-off switch that stops the car from running when it is wound up.Overall this tin car is in very good condition with no rust and very good working wind up function. It appears justlightly used and shows some minor storage wear with just a few very minor tiny scratches in the green paint. The plastic spotlight on top is a little loose and it has two wooden wheels and two rubber wheels. The left rear rubber tire is marked: LOIUIS MARX& CO.- MADE IN U.S.A. - Please zoom in on all pictures for other details. it measures 11 1/8\" by 4 1/8\" and is 4\" tall and it weighs 1 lb. 2 oz.
