Offering for your offerding consideration is this antique typewriter. This typewriter was manufactured in Stamford Conn. by the Blickensderfer company. This piece measures 13 1/4 x 11 1/4 inches at the base. This is the model 7 typewriter. I have had several of these oldies over the years, but never one in this nice a condition.

The quartered oak case has a rich & warm patina and is free from any cracks, chips or repairs to the veneer. There are a few areas, especially on the back upper corners, where typical light wear has taken it\'s toll over the years. If I were keeping this little gem, I would give it a nice paste waxing and this one would look like new.

The typewriter itself is also in superb condition. Typically when I am lucky enough to find one of these, there is a ton of rust and it typically is jammed, but not this one. All the keys respond appropriately when stuck, and if I could figure out how to get ink to the floating head, I know this would type as intended. I tried to type, and all the functions work as intended but I don\'t have a ribbon, nor do I see how a ribbon would interact wit the head.

I don\'t see any obviously missing parts, and even the bell is shiny and works well. One can see this one needs a good dusting, but with that exception, this one is a stud-horse!
