7\' #14 2/2 Heddon bamboo fly rod with original bag and tube, in excellent restored condition. Spiral writing with straight line specs means it was built early 1940\'s. All rod sections are full length, no damage or repairs to the cane, the butt section is straight, tip sections have a slight fishing set. Ferrules fit smooth and tight withno clicking. The reel seat screws down smoothly and snugly, (aluminum barrel is split, see picture, repair is solid and smooth, split is on bottom of rod and hidden by locking band).

Rod was professionally restored with correctly color preserved silkwraps and japanned ferrules, very neatly done threadwork.Beautifulcaramel colored bamboo tone, no blemishes or watermarks.Very nice mildly swelled butt.

The tips on this rod are very fine, a true 4 weight, will handle a WF3 nicely also. Throws a nice tight loop with a snappy medium fast action. Ready to fish!
