Overall,the condition is very nice.The case is solid, there are no cracks, chips or pry marks whatsoever. Just a small amount of yellowing.The CRT is bright, sharp, stable, with a small amount burn-in that is barely noticeable. see 3rd pic.The internal 800K floppy disk drive has been cleaned, lubed and tested to work great. It reads, writes, and ejects without issue.The sound is loud and clear, all four rubber feet are present and in good shape. The amber harddrive activity light works.The 20MB internal hard drive is alive, for now. These MiniScribe drives are on borrowed time, I can't guarantee how long it will continue to work. The PRAM battery has been removed. The logic board is corrosion free and very clean.
The Macintosh SE was the first compact Mac equipped with an internal cooling fan. Also, there are no leaking electrolytic surface mount capacitors to wreak havoc on the logic and analog boards.The lack of leaking SMD's, and a factory equipped cooling fan makes the Mac SE a very reliable computer. In my opinion, it'sthe most reliable compact Mac.If you're looking for an original working example of the Mac SE, I think this one will serve you well.
