Around the World Program boxed set of 31 paperbound books by the American Geographical Society. These charming little volumes were published in the late 1950's and early 1960's, designed to educate young learners about various countries and geographical regions. Each book has a series of photo stickers that were to be matched and pasted beside specific text as part of the learning process. Most of these books have their sticker set intact and unused. There are a couple of volumes that have stickers pulled up and enclosed in the front of the book and there are a couple of books that have stickers pasted in their assigned areas.
Please see photos for specific countries/areas covered by this set.Books are enclosed in five sleeve/ drawer type boxes in fair condition. Two of the boxes have shed their end paper/description piece, but they will be included for new owner to re-glue if desired. Overall these 31 little books are in nice condition for their age with no writing or coloring (I did not examine every page). These belonged to a teacher, and it looks like she kept these set aside for special research projects. A great set to add to your collection of vintage books or to remember from days gone by.
