Linux is a different Operating system than Windows or Chrome. Most things work on this laptop with Linux, but we cannot guarantee ALL functionality works(linux may need additional drivers for some components).
ChromeOS is 100% REMOVED(as these laptops are now end of updates from Google), new firmware has been installed, you can now boot most any OS(we have tested a dozen different linux variations, but we make no guarantees). Ubuntu, Fedora, and Mint seem to work the best. When new, the trackpads on these laptops were described as mushy. A USB mouse is much nicer.This one has Fedora 39 Linux installed(view our other listings for Linux Mint or Manjaro linux pre-installed).

Linux includes Libre Office. There is an app store with many more apps available to install.Games in pictures are not installed, but can be found and can be downloaed for FREE in the app store - many games, and other programs work.
