Up for sale is an Apple Computer Internal SCSI 12X CD-ROM drive, model CR-507-C and part number 678-0109. We connected this drive to power and found that the tray does open and close. There is a clicking noise when the tray opens/closes. We were unable to test the drive beyond this as we do not have a computer with a SCSI connection. Because the drive has only been tested to open and close the tray and is untested beyond this, we are listing this unit \"For parts or not working\" and it is being sold as-is with no returns accepted.
The drive does have a plastic piece installed on the bottom of it that allows it to be installed in a Power Macintosh 7300 or similar (see picture #5).Cosmetically, the drive does show some signs of use and wear such as scratches and scuff marks and dirt/dust.
