Apple II/IIe/IIgs G7287 SuperDrives & 1991 3.5\" 1.44mb 820-0500-A Controller
Price: US $1200.00

Here are 4 Apple II G7287 SuperDrives (2 tested working and used in ab IIe Enhanced sold earlier, 2 not working) and  a 1991 era 820-0500-A Apple 3.5\" 1.44mb Controller 3.5\" Tested Working!

The controller and 2 working drives were used in an Apple IIe system. You will only be able to make use of these drives when using ProDOS as the other DOS versions are limited to 400kb. The drives will work with 800kb 3.5 floppies (720kb using Apples variable size tracks), and 1.44mb floppies (that can be read in a raw data format on PC hardware, but you\'ll need to find or write your own tools to look at the files from the disk images). I\'ll throw in some 1.44mb floppies for good measure, along with a ProDOS boot disk.

The two non-working G7287 drives were purchased off a guy selling a lot of apple II hardware. Apparently they found a warehouse with RMA or parts to repair which is why they weren\'t working and why they had so many. Including them because you may want to use them for parts.

These are VERY RARE parts, and almost NEVER sold together.

The controller should work just as well in a IIgs as a IIe.

This was used in a system with all original Apple parts, including the power supply. After market parts in your system. As such I can only guarantee that this equipment was working at the time it was packaged and sold (except the two extra drives included as spare parts). Improper ESD handling can damage the components, so can a system with a faulty power supply. As with all vintage sales, these are sold as-is even when confirmed working at the time of sale.
