I have built these for myself, but these aren\'t my extra PCBs. This is a production run made to \"better than prototype\" specifications. Details of upgrades over normal prototypying HASL or 1U ENIG boards:
- Beveling of edge connector / trim fingers appropriately to accommodate
- 2U ENIG plating of the whole card, instead of JLCPCB 1U or cheaper HASL.
- FR-4 TG150 substrate (higher temperature than standard JLCPCB TG135, basically the PCB can withstand higher temperatures without deforming).
Also, these are lead free /ROHS Complaint, so International buyers are welcome with the Global Shipping Program.
This card is slightly more complex than the Briel card. The advantages are auto detect of machine in video firmware mode, and an optional Z80 firmware (which results in no video output from this card, but you can run CP/M with this card, and use composite video or even another card with the VGA firmware for VGA!). There is an optional fuse to add which provides power on VGA pin 9 in case you need to power anything from the DSUB via the VGA standard, i.e. a modified VGA to HDMI adapter.
