CSG 8701 chip pulled from functional Commodore 64c circuit board. Like MOS 8701
Price: US $32.00

Used CSG 8701 chip. Pulled from functional factory refurbished Commodore 64c (narrow) board. There are no noticeably bent or broken legs on this chip. Probably similar or identical to the MOS 8701 clock generator IC chip for Commodore 64. We tested the factory refurbished Commodore 64c (narrow) board that this was pulled from back in late 2004 using the official Commodore Warranty Center test harness and test cartridge and it passed all of the tests. However, the power switch on the board was quite sticky and difficult to switch on and off so we set the board aside until recently when someone wanted the video chip from it and we sold it to him. We decided to part-out the rest of the socketed chips on the board as well. I don\'t think we have tested or used this board since late 2004 though but it has been stored in a climate controlled place since then and the chips should still be ok.We ship these chips in special static-resistant chip boxes with black crisp anti-static foam to protect them.

The photo is of the chip you will receive. Even though the chip has been used we do guarantee it (excluding abuse) for 30 days. Any returned chips must match the date codes of the exact chips which we send.Note: Our shipping price is a couple of dollars higher than our actual shipping cost on these normally because of our cost on the special anti-static boxes which we ship them in.We have been selling Commodore hardware, parts and accessories for almost 39 years (since 1983) and have a great reputation.
