When I was younger, I spent about 1,000 hours researching the perfect at home networked attached storage setup. It was going to be a 4 drive system, Mini ITX for small size and power efficiency, and it was going to run Solaris for ZFS.
Anyway, this is the case I decided was the best possible case for a home NAS. It’s tiny, it has tool-less 4 hot swappable 5.25\" drive bays, it’s been modded to have 2 externally accessible 3.5\" drives, and it has an 180 watt power brick.But I never actually build a server for it. Life got in the way. Every time I work up the nerve to sell it, I instead decide to keep it because of how great of a system it would make. But I finally have to accept that running a home server is a young person’s game, and I am just too old. I hope this case finds a good home.
