The Dell PowerEdge C6100 is a hyperscale-inspired building block for high-performance cluster computing(HPCC), Web 2.0 and cloud builders. Its ultra-dense 2U shared infrastructure chassis can support up to four independent nodes. Each independently serviceable server node features dual Intel® Xeon® 5660 series hex-core processors,12 DDR3 memory slots, x 16 PCI Express generation 2 slot, x8 PCI Express mezzanine slot, dual-port embedded gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports, and an integrated IPMI2.0 BMC with a dedicated RJ45 connection.
The highly efficient 2U rack chassis supports up to 12 x 3.5” hot-plug SAS, SATA or SSD hard drives. The PowerEdge C6100 provides capacity, performance and flexibility in a very dense package. In addition to the 92% efficient hot-plug redundant power supplies, the PowerEdge C6100 shared infrastructure saves space and weight, producing one of the most eco-friendly designs yet.
