Dell Inspiron E1505 Win XP Media Center Laptop 120Gb HDD, 1Gb RAM, Core Duo ₡
Used, tested, and working. Comes with OEM dell charger. Has 120gb hard drive, 1 gb of ram in two slots (which can be upgraded to 2gb I believe), a Intel Core Duo T2050 CPU, a DVD-RW drive, PC or PCMCIA port, 1394 firewire port, 4 usb ports, VGA port, S-video port, ethernet port, and a modem port for a phone line. I also installed a fresh install of Windows XP SP3 and also installed the unofficial service pack 4 update (which can be taken off if you don\'t want it). There\'s nothing on the hard drive besides what normally comes on a clean install of xp. I also fixed all driver issues so everything will work (except for items with hardware issues)when you receive. Also the battery still holds a charge. The battery health is at 63% though so it won\'t last as long as when new. But considering how old the battery probably is, it\'s doing pretty good!
The bad parts are this: on the palmrest, years of heavy use have left dark marks in the finish (see pics). Around the screen are some rubber bumpers that are deteriorating and cracking/turning brown and falling apart. I was also unable to get the PC card port to work. I don\'t know if this was the card I was trying to test it with, issues with using PC cards on XP, or that the port is bad. I was unable to narrow it down. The DVD drive is also not working right. When I tested it, the drive kept kind of whirring and clicking but never read the DVD I inserted. From the sounds I would guess all it needs is a new belt and/or some lubrication, but I can\'t say that with 100% certainty.
