I order stripped down older i5 and i3 Dell laptops, max the RAM out, install Windows 10 Pro with all drivers and activate it, so that the laptop you get is the fastest possible laptop for that particiular Dell Latitude model. Of course, if you want it faster, you can wipe the drive and install Windows 7 Pro. Yes, Microsoft adds new stuff with each new operating system, but it also uses more processing and RAM to do so.
